  • Rosacea: Redness around the cheeks or nose; facial erythema.
  • Spider veins: Individual vessels, which can be red, blue or purple.

Safe, comfortable and fast!

The photorejuvenation process provides the most safe, well-tolerated and effective treatment with short or zero recovery time. Sessions are quick and you may return to work or resume any other activity feeling and looking better!

How does Palomar pulsed light, photorejuvenation system work?

Palomar systems use specialised handpieces that filter pulsed light to target blood vessels and pigmented lesions. Each spectrum band has certain wavelengths that each spectral band is ideal for treating different lesions such as sunspots or spider veins as well as reducing hair growth. The Palomar photorejuvenation handpiece emits pulses of light into the skin. The light is absorbed by the pigment into the skin, in the case of sunspots, and by the blood, in the case of visible veins which usually fade away within two weeks.

How does Palomar pulsed light system differ from a Laser therapy?

Pulsed light systems and Lasers are similar, but Palomar system uses a much larger handpiece crystal compared to other Lasers. Light is intensely spread over a wider area of the skin and allows quicker and wider coverage of the skin and, as a result, faster and better treatment outcome.

Which body areas can be treated?

Any area, except around the eyes is treatable such as the upper lip, face, neck, armpits, bikini line, tummy, chest, back and legs.

How are treatments with Palomar system performed?

Specially trained personnel will move the handpiece over your skin, pulsing light continuously. Each pulse will send a light beam onto your skin. A flashing light, an audible tone and a mild sensation of heat on your skin will let you understand when the handpiece is being pulsed.

What should I expect after treatment?

  • Straight after treatment, you may experience a mild sunburn sensation, quite possibly followed by minor oedema. This usually lasts 2- 4 hours. You might want to sooth the treated area with some hydrating cream, cold gel or ice packs.
  • Sunspots/Photoaging: Sunspots will initially darken after treatment but will almost fade away during the next 1-2 weeks.
  • Erythema (Rosacea): The skin’s local redness (cheeks, face) will be intensified straight after treatment but will subside significantly one week later.
  • Spider veins: They may either disappear straight after treatment or may appear darker at first and then fully or partially fade within 10-14 days.
  • Usually, 3-4 sessions are necessary to treat sunspots, rosacea and spider veins.
