The new no pain technique now in tummy tuck
The non-touch no pain technique was first introduced in breast surgery by Mr Keramidas in 2004. All these years we have presented our technique in numerous Conferences in Greece and abroad. In 2012 we presented our technique for the first time on video at the World Congress of Aesthetic Surgery that took place in Geneva under the auspices of ISAPS.
It was therefore a matter of time for this technique to be incorporated in other procedures. Here we shall look into the implementation of the non-touch no pain technique in tummy tucks.
New technique in Abdominoplasty - Greek Line - (Champagne Groove Technique)
The new technique was presented for the first time at the IMCAS World Congress 2015 held in Paris and then at the 2016 BAPRAS meeting in London.
What is the Champagne Groove technique?
It is a new technique in abdominoplasty performed by Mr. Keramidas. The Champagne Groove is a vertical line or deepening formed between the rectus abdominis muscles -The rectus abdominis muscles are the vertical abdominal muscles.
Sfumato – Face Rejuvenation Technique
Leonardo Da Vinci and "Sfumato" technique
Without doubt, Leornado Da Vinci, was a remarkable painter. One of the techniques he established was the "Sfumato". The word Sfumato comes from the Italian word sfumare meaning "like smoke" or "to evaporate like smoke".
His secret was of course part of his overall painting technique. He used to place very thin layers of colour (1-2 micrometers) one on top of the other (Glaze technique) never exceeding 30-40 micrometers in total thickness. This is how he managed to produce the hazy effect on faces and landscapes.
With this technique he managed a soft transition from light to dark areas of the face. This is how he smoothed out the outline, making subtle gradations from one area of the face to another in the manner of smoke. He thus managed to give a magnificent vividness to the faces he drew.
The "Sfumato" technique is now applied in cosmetic surgery. What Da Vinci did on the faces he painted, we now do it underneath the skin.
BODYTITE The most evolved liposuction - liposculpture treatment
Liposuction is now the most popular procedure. 600,000 liposuction procedures were performed in 2007 in USA alone. And let us not forget that obesity in our country tends to become endemic. We rank ninth among the most obese peoples in the world!
It is therefore obvious that the technique that allows plastic surgeons to remove fat and chisel the body with minor bruising, swelling and pain, and at the same time achieve skin firming results, shall see great success.
Bodytite is today the latest and most effective development of the liposuction technique.
Impressive Recovery following Breast Augmentation. The Non touch - No pain Technique
The greater public has the impression that breast augmentation is followed by pain that lasts for 2-3 weeks, compression garments or suffocating bandages, tubes inserted into the breasts, bruising around the chest and long stay in bed. And if all this used to be true, it is now all left to the past.
So what would you think of the idea of almost pain-free breast augmentation, without tubes, suffocating compression garments around the chest and movement restrictions? Is it too good to be true?
Well, no matter how hard to believe, modern techniques allow 90% of the patients who have been submitted to breast augmentation to resume regular activities 24 hours after the procedure. Forget narcotic analgesics, tight compression garments around the chest, drains or special bras that press against the breast. You may also forget bruising and breasts that make you look like a beating victim.

The "Sfumato" technique is now applied in cosmetic surgery. What Da Vinci did on the faces he painted, we now do underneath the skin.
What exactly does "Sfumato" involve?
The "Sfumato" technique refers to the way we use hyaluronic acid and Botox/ Dysport to achieve the same effect that Da Vinci produced on his paintings: a face free from intense contrast between dark and light areas.
In other words?
Say that we are dealing with a very deep nasolabial fold. Until now, we used to inject hyaluronic acid into the wrinkle up to one level and towards one dimension only, while the hyaluronic acid would be of a specific type.
What do we do now?
We first place a thicker type of hyaluronic fluid along the wrinkle. We then inject another type of hyaluronic acid which is more easily moulded and more liquid.
We then inject a minimum dose of Botox/Dysport on the upper part of the wrinkle to relax it on this particular area. When targeting the deepest area, we may inject hyaluronic acid in three different levels.
This way the final result is free from intense shadows and we achieve a smooth transition from the cheek to the nasolabial fold and from there to the mouth. No contrasts or shadows can be seen. Moreover, because we have placed the easily moulded hyaluronic acid on the top layer, the massage and smoothing-out process will be easier than if we had used a thicker type of hyaluronic acid.
The result is more natural, and the face gains more vividness.

Conclusion
"Sfumato" is a new, revolutionary method of using hyaluronic acid and Botox/ Dysport for non-invasive face rejuvenation.
What makes this technique unique?
- The successive layers of hyaluronic acid onto the wrinkles
- The various types of hyaluronic acid used.
- The effort in making the top layer of hyaluronic acid thinner and easily moulded (i.e. the layer that is exactly underneath the skin).
- The use of Botox/ Dysport in areas previously considered to be forbidden.
Warning: This technique must only be used by very experienced Plastic Surgeons.
Tummy tuck
Tummy tuck is a major surgical procedure that involves the removal of skin and fat from the lower 2/3 of the abdominal wall and allows tightening of the abdominal muscles.
Aim of the tummy tuck
Tummy tuck allows the dramatic reduction in size of a prominent belly and may significantly improve the shape of the body. The procedure does not aim at reducing body weight and in no case should it be considered as a slimming method.

Ideal tummy tuck candidates
The ideal candidates for a tummy tuck are women and men who have good health but are concerned about the size and shape of their abdominal wall, excess fat and loose skin that can no longer be treated with diet and exercise.
Tummy tuck is also advisable for patients who have undergone bariatric surgery (weight-loss surgery) and have since developed abdominal lipodystrophy.
Women who have had multiple pregnancies are also good candidates for this procedure. These women experience muscle and skin laxity that cannot be corrected with exercise.
Patients who are planning to follow a diet regimen must first complete the diet and then undergo a tummy tuck. Also, women who are planning to become pregnant in the future should postpone their tummy tuck, since the abdominal muscles on which the tummy tuck is performed will become flaccid again during pregnancy.
Patients previously submitted to specific surgical procedures on the abdomen that have left behind scars on specific areas, may not be eligible for a tummy tuck.
It must be noted that this operation can be combined with other surgical procedures such as liposuction and breast reduction or augmentation.
